Daniel Radcliffe hasn't seen "Harry Potter and the Deathly Hallows -- Part 2," but some of his fans have. And according to the film's producers, what those fans saw during test screenings brought many to tears. To which Radcliffe said with a laugh, "Good!"
"It's the last one, for God's sake!" he recently told MTV News. "If we don't get 'em now, we don't get another chance."
That is to say, after a decade of production on eight films, the boy wizard thinks the franchise is due to reap some hefty emotional payout.
After all, Radcliffe and his fellow castmembers found themselves in tears when they wrapped production on "Deathly Hallows" last year. As he told us back in June, "I didn't expect myself to get particularly emotional, but I really did, as I'm sure you'll see on the DVD extras, because we were filmed weeping like children."
These days, Radcliffe is busy singing and dancing on Broadway in "How to Succeed in Business Without Really Trying" — a job far removed from the world of "Potter" he inhabited for so long. And while he remains enthusiastic about seeing the finished product, the 21-year-old can neither comprehend just how much time has passed since that final take nor pick a favorite scene from the production.
"I am excited to see it," he said. "I think it will be very good. It just seems like eons ago that I finished it, so it's bizarre." In regard to there being a memorable scene that's stayed with him so many months later, he said, "I can't remember ever feeling, 'God, I was doing brilliant acting then! I nailed that!' I very rarely get moments like that."
